Bandung traditional food at the hill - Saung Punclut

Okay, let me just write a few more posts about my Bandung trip before going to bed.

This place was introduced by a taxi driver who picked-up us from Paris Van Java Mall. We went back to Grand Serela Setiabudhi Bandung to put down our stuffs first before heading to the dinner place where is located at the hill, total taxi fare was Rp97,000. 

食物并没有很好吃，都是炸的可是都是凉了的。鸡胸肉很硬，章鱼好咸好咸，整条鱼黑黑的也不知道自己在吃什么，最好吃的是炸豆腐与炸马铃薯了！旁边几家店也是客人寥寥无几，想必是因为要来到此地并不方便，食物方面也许只有当地人可以接受吧。

Bandung Shopping Mall - Paris Van Java

Paris Van Java, a resort lifestyle place, a shopping mall in Bandung. Nothing much special, whatever available here are available in Malaysia too. We tried to compare the price and stock range of brands like Zara, Dorothy Perkins, Topshop, you can find the same things in Malaysia branches as well and the price after converted back to Malaysia Ringgit are almost the same. 

The place we spent the most time in this mall was Carrefour, lol~

We took mini van to go Paris Van Java Mall, Rp3,000/ ticket. Looking out from the window, you will see many young boys gather around at the side of the road, one or two of them carrying guitar and singing under the tree. Initially we thought that's their lifestyle and hobby, until the mini van stopped at traffic light, a man walked over and lean against the door, then he started to sing while playing his guitar. They wouldn't stop singing until he get some $$$, and they will walk away immediately once you give them $$$.

Bandung Factory Outlet - Rumah Mode

Rumah Mode is the most popular factory outlet in Bandung. At first we pronounced it in English, MODE. After checked with the local then only we noticed the right way to pronounce it is actually MO-DE. As mentioned in my previous post regarding our hotel stay, Rumah Mode is very near to Grand Serela Setiabudhi Bandung, you can reach there by 15 mins walk. 

Seriously I don't understand what makes it so popular until it's like a must-go place in Bandung. Many says they can find a lot of good deals in here, such as some branded tees like Paul Frank, Abercrombie & Fitch, & etc. Well, there are many Paul Frank tees in the outlet, but whether it's original it depends. Most of the clothes are more likely to what you can find in Mydin, Giant that type of hypermarket in Malaysia, just some basic t-shirts, short pants, jeans, and traditional dress. I didn't take picture of Rumah Mode's indoor, however I did snap some shots in other factory outlets, they are more or less the same, some are totally selling the same clothes, just the name of the factory outlets are different.

Before visiting Bandung, I was expecting to see factory outlets like Johor Premium Outlet that type, each branded store owns a shoplot and selling past season stocks at cheaper price. After all, it was so disappointing. 

Rumah Mode

We had our first meal in Bandung at Bumbu Desa. It's available in Malaysia too but so far haven't got chance to visit it yet. Total cost for the meal: Rp117,006.

No idea what's the right way to eat the cucumber platter, the local served it together with our orders most of the time. I dip the cucumber slice/ vege into the special made chili sauce. If you like spicy, you will love the chili sauce!

 After finish eating at Bumbu Desa, where is connected to the food court, we ordered additional dishes from the other food stalls.

1. Mie Baso: Beef noodles soup. The first time I had it was back in year 2011 at Bali by the beach, it was so tasty until I still remember how yummilicious was it! However, this time the noodles taste so-so only. Another disappointed thingie.

2. Mie Kocok Biasa: Dry noodles. The noodles was ok but the soup was super salty.

3. Ice Cendol: Taste so much different from what we usually have in Malaysia. My friends couldn't get use to the black sugar, I think they added some corn syrup, which I don't like it neither.

Bandung Hotel: Grand Serela Setiabudhi Bandung - 天堂与地狱

四月和五月之间，两个月里我去了三个旅游胜地，再不把东西记录下来，恐怕我的大脑就快承载不了如此庞大的记忆了！

先介绍我们入住的酒店吧！我们订的是距离机场15分钟车程的四星级酒店 - Grand Serela Setiabudhi Bandung，Superior套房。由于班机取消，我只好拨长途电话通知酒店方面我们被迫延迟一天才能check-in。体贴的酒店依旧安排了机场接送服务，当然前一晚的房钱是要不回了。

这家酒店附近是高尚住宅区，整条街都是独立式洋房，晚上还有守卫守候在街头，整个社区很安宁，没有喧哗声，适合喜欢安静的人入住。

来到Bandung的游客都不会错过到Rumah Mode去血拼，从Grand Serela Setiabudhi Bandung步行到Rumah Mode只需大约15分钟。走出酒店门口，往右走到街头，越过那超级无敌繁忙的马路，看见麦当劳，从麦当劳再过马路到对面往右手边直走上斜坡，没多久就会看见Rumah Mode在你的左边，再往上一点就是其他的Factory Outlet了。

两旁都是高高的大树，早晨走在这里感觉特别清新。

本来住的Superior房好好的，却因为酒店方面正在维修热水器，所以把我们升级到Grand Deluxe Room。这本来是件开心的事，可惜因为床褥不干净，我和朋友被beg bug攻击得伤痕累累。我们立刻要求换房间，可惜并没有适合的房间了，我们只好四人挤在一间房，并通过了一番争取才获得酒店方面答应作出小小的补偿，即免费提供隔天的自助早餐劵于我们四人。

一开始酒店方面并不同意，他们只允许换房，没打算给予其他的补偿或赔偿。但由于实在是没有其他合适的房间了，所以才勉强给我们提供两份免费的自助早餐劵。这实在是令我们汗颜！怎么这么吝啬啊？酒店方面说由于他们的早餐价格不菲，而且出事的房间只有一间，所以没办法提供四人份，只能提供两人份。其实换算回来马币，那早餐只是值大约RM 20++，比起我们的伤，这如此庞大的四星级酒店集团能够做的真的很令人失望。身边的朋友都问为什么没向酒店要求赔偿，试想想我们还能要求些什么呢？医药费吗？

不过享用早餐的时候，酒店方面有前来道歉。check-out的时候，酒店经理也有向我们道歉。唉，伤痕已经造成，就算道歉也于事无补了。

Bandung Airport Closes at 11pm

Never thought that there is airport not operating 24 hours.


Our flight from LCCT to Bandung originally was 10.50pm, however w.e.f. 3 Apr 2014 to 3 July 2014, the flight is cancelled and moved to 7.15pm.

The weather was bad, it was raining heavily when we were waiting at the departure hall. The flight was forced to postpone to 8.30pm. Rain never stop when it was already 8.30pm, the flight postponed another time to 9.35pm.

At 10.15pm, we were still at the waiting hall. The staffs announced that the flight had to be cancelled due to the airport in Bandung already closed.

OMG! Seriously never knew that there is airport not operating 24 hours!

Everybody seated on the floor at custom to wait for further arrangment. We waited until about 12am only check-out from the custom and walked to the car park to get onto the bus arranged by AA to go to Aston Hotel in Nilai. When we arrived at the hotel it was already 1am.

Breakfast was provided the next day and AA arranged a bus to pick us up at 6am to catch the 8.20am flight. Thank god the weather was good and we arrived at Bandung airport safely. The airport is really small compare to LCCT, and there we know it closes at 11pm.

烟霾终于散了！今天的天气好得很，烈日当空，空气不再浑浊，视线也清晰了。趁着好天气我赶紧拉了弟弟去替我跟我们家的老黑照相去！（因为它的毛发太黑了，平常总是拍不清楚它的脸，两只眼睛也几乎看不见。）在烈日下老黑帅气的样子终于毫无保留的看得见了！
