有米气：顺德料理 @ Seputih

常常从old klang road开车往mid valley，却不曾真正留意过这家餐厅-- 有米气，要不是朋友指点，根本不会想起有这么一家店。有米气卖的是顺德料理，店面的设计其实很独特，只是因为座落在接近分岔路口的繁忙道路，白天也许还会看见那独立式的双层洋房，经过的时候只有几秒钟的时间瞄一瞄，然后就直直踩上mid valley去了；晚上灯光昏暗，根本就不会留意到它的存在，所以每当朋友问起哪里有特别的餐厅的时候都不会想到这家有米气。不过当然，现在会想到它了。也因为来了这里，才发现原来隔壁是间酒店，车子得停在那里，别担心，只需走几步路就会抵达有米气。

我们点的是鼎鼎大名的粥底火锅，可咱们漏看了三个字--无米粥 >.<

奉劝各位如果像我们一样胃口很开，还是选择点菜吃饭的好，看邻座吃顺德菜肴吃得津津有味，相比之下我们这无米粥并不便宜，一锅要RM35, 加火锅料另外算，吃不饱之余还无味，煞是无奈的一餐啊！

我们相信他们家卖的顺德料理应该很好吃，因为我们抵达不久后餐厅内就客似云来，没多久就座无虚席了，足以证明他们家的菜肴肯定不错吃才得以获得如此热烈反应。仔细观察别人都点些什么，发现大部分的人都是点几道菜肴配白饭或是他们家的炒面，只有少数几桌才点了粥底火锅。

好吧！下一次光顾才试试看他们家的顺德饭菜。

一看那粥底火锅就知道吃不饱，立马点了这盘肠粉先垫一下肚子，好像是RM12，不太记得了。

我们是第一桌到的，所以照相的时候餐厅还是空空的，一会儿就坐满了人，白色墙壁的另一端还有更多桌位。

Coffee Amo @ Jalan Sultan, Kuala Lumpur

After finished our 'staircase exercise' at Batu Cave, we went all the way to Jalan Sultan to feed our pity empty stomach the first meal of the day at Coffee Amo. We used to come this area very often during our secondary school time to take the public bus to go home. After graduated we only come here before Chinese New Year to buy dry meat (ba-kua) and fresh flowers. We were trying to look for the location of Coffee Amo based on the complicated directions given from a blog, after all we found out it's actually very simple and easy to spot this place -- just right opposite the famous Shanghai Book Store. This Shanghai Book Store has been open since long long time ago, should have more than 20 years I guess? Coz I been there when I was a child, lol~ Yea, I'm an old lady XD I'm sure you heard of this Shanghai Book Store if you are KL-lang (local), yes or no? You can find many old books here, especially the books about China History, and also the traditional stationery like writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper (文房四宝).

For tourists, if you are interested to pay a visit to Coffee Amo, Jalan Sultan is located just right next to Petaling Street, the China Town in Kuala Lumpur.

If you have read about the posts of Latte Art Workshop ( Part 1 & Part 2) that we blogged earlier, advise was given by the workshop trainer that it's actually not recommended to make 3D art in coffee. It's cute indeed, but to make the 3D effect, you need to boil the milk until it's burnt. When the milk is burnt, it will then affect the taste and texture of the coffee.

Then what was the reason we came here? For the sake of the cute 3D effect la of coz! XD

Although the taste would not be great, people somehow just like to see beautiful thing, isn't it?

We ordered a brunch set which costs RM 15 (sandwich + coffee) and add-on another cup of Latte RM 10.

VCR Cafe @ Jalan Galloway - Only Coffee & Cake Cafe

Just like the title of this post, VCR café only serves coffee and sliced cake currently. The baristas mentioned that the breakfast menu will be available in 1-2 months time. However, a friend visited VCR café a couple of months ago and she was told the same thing.

Nothing much to share over here, except for the great ambience. It's a good place for gathering, but you got to bring your own food ;p We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday, we brought our own cake and ordered coffee from the bar. The Flat White, Long Black, Latte and Cappuccino were great, but the Mocha has more room to improve seriously! Take the first sip and you can taste a mouthful of cocoa, probably the barista prefers stronger cocoa taste in Mocha?
