To the East... Kuatan, Cherating & Kuala Terengganu (Part 1)

This trip comes in impulsively... As I was having hard time deciding to go either Hong Kong or Singapore, my friend suggested why not local trip... well, for the obvious reason - budget, I picked local trip.... to the East!

And here are some of the photos we've taken along the trip..

Day 1

On the road... clear blue sky

First stop, lunch beside the river -

Must try this when you are here -Patin Masak Tempoyak, a kind of grilled river fish with durian paste. For those who doesn't like durian, don't worry, you won't get the smell at all.

Selera Patin Bangau

Kampung Bangau,
Pahang

Second stop -

After taking a break to stretch out my legs in Kuantan for about 30 minutes, we headed back to the road and went straight to our destination for the day - Legend Resort, Cherating.... and being the only driver on the road, I just called it an early night.

Day 2
Woke up for jog and try to get from fresh air... well, not much of fresh air due to some nearby burning (may be cause by the hot weather). But we enjoyed the morning jog before we head out for more food hunting.

Teluk Cempedak, Kuantan

Starbucks by the seaside...

After the nice curry noodle, strolling a long the seaside, and a cup of coffee at Teluk Cempedak, we went on to find the famous Warung Pok Su & Mok Su for more food. It took us awhile to locate the place because we were told the stall is next to the Police Station on a main road, but neither the Garmin nor Waze worked for us. When we finally found it, apparently it was next to a small police office... :)

Laksam... East Coast delicacy

Satar ... more East Coast delicacy
