Coffee Amo @ Jalan Sultan, Kuala Lumpur

After finished our 'staircase exercise' at Batu Cave, we went all the way to Jalan Sultan to feed our pity empty stomach the first meal of the day at Coffee Amo. We used to come this area very often during our secondary school time to take the public bus to go home. After graduated we only come here before Chinese New Year to buy dry meat (ba-kua) and fresh flowers. We were trying to look for the location of Coffee Amo based on the complicated directions given from a blog, after all we found out it's actually very simple and easy to spot this place -- just right opposite the famous Shanghai Book Store. This Shanghai Book Store has been open since long long time ago, should have more than 20 years I guess? Coz I been there when I was a child, lol~ Yea, I'm an old lady XD I'm sure you heard of this Shanghai Book Store if you are KL-lang (local), yes or no? You can find many old books here, especially the books about China History, and also the traditional stationery like writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper (文房四宝).

For tourists, if you are interested to pay a visit to Coffee Amo, Jalan Sultan is located just right next to Petaling Street, the China Town in Kuala Lumpur.

If you have read about the posts of Latte Art Workshop ( Part 1 & Part 2) that we blogged earlier, advise was given by the workshop trainer that it's actually not recommended to make 3D art in coffee. It's cute indeed, but to make the 3D effect, you need to boil the milk until it's burnt. When the milk is burnt, it will then affect the taste and texture of the coffee.

Then what was the reason we came here? For the sake of the cute 3D effect la of coz! XD

Although the taste would not be great, people somehow just like to see beautiful thing, isn't it?

We ordered a brunch set which costs RM 15 (sandwich + coffee) and add-on another cup of Latte RM 10.

Morning Climb at Batu Cave 黑风洞

Here's another post to introduce you one of the tourist spots in Malaysia.

I believe those who watched the Hong Kong TVB Series <<Outbound Love>> / 《单恋双城》are familiar with this place - Batu Cave 黑风洞. It's easily accessible by taking the KTM.

The staircase have 272 stairs, to prepare myself for mount climbing at Kota Kinabalu in mid of April, we came here to do intensive training just two weeks before the climb, lol~  As a Malaysian, a KL girl, this is our first visit to Batu Cave!

Not many shots taken here due to we worried that the monkeys will snatch away the camera. Beware with your belongings coz the monkeys are not afraid of human and they enjoy playing around along the long long staircase. Anyhow it's worth a visit if you have time especially on the Thaipusam day so that you can enjoy seeing the beauty of nature and the religious festival together at the same time. Thaipusam is a key Hindu ceremony that is held each year during the full moon in the tenth month of the Hindu calendar.

Shanghai Street @ Setia Walk, Puchong

Hope you like my previous posts about Bandung, now let me bring you back to Malaysia and introduce you a beautiful place where just newly developed :)

There are many beautiful + unique places in Malaysia too, the only drawback is the public transport system in Malaysia is still very inconvenient. You would need a car to come this place -- Shanghai Street @ Setia Walk, Puchong. These photos are taken in late March 2014 and the place actually already well developed and open to public before Chinese New Year.

The Shanghai Street a.k.a. The Grand Shanghai Food Theme Park, is the newly opened food court located at the 4th floor (above TGV Cinema) in Setia Walk. You can find Shanghai Dim Sum, Roast Duck Rice, Malaysia Delights like Bak Kut Teh, Claypot Pork Belly Noodles, Porridge...and a lot more of variety of food here.

We didn't try any food here due to every restaurant was super duper crowded. We just walked around and captured some portrait shots with the old Shanghai background. There are shops selling Cheongsam (Qi Pao) here also if you are looking for one.
